Better Roads For Rural Ontario In The North
McGuinty Government Supporting Local Infrastructure, Creating Jobs
Ontario is doubling its support to the Local Road Boards (LRB) in order to maintain and upgrade rural road infrastructure in Northern Ontario.
Improved roads will give local residents easier access to work, home and their community, and make it easier for visitors to access to activities such as hunting and fishing. It will also provide new jobs and help support the local economy.
Investing in Ontario’s roads, highways, transit, hospitals and schools is part of the government’s plan to create jobs, grow local economies and ensure the province remains strong and competitive for years to come.
