SCHREIBER, ON. –During the early morning hours of Sunday April 3, 2011 Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated an investigation of an assault that occurred in the area of Simcoe Plaza, Terrace Bay, Ontario. While walking home from a social event a male was confronted and then assaulted by three other males. Witnesses who intervened to assist the male were also assaulted. Investigation revealed that other Terrace Bay residents had been confronted by three males during this time.
Friday April 8 Schreiber OPP officers arrested two males in relation to the events that occurred on April 3. 20 year old Ian Douglas TURNER, of Terrace Bay, Ontario is currently in custody and has been charged with two counts of Assault, Breach of Probation, and Cause Disturbance contrary to the Criminal Code.
Kris GRAHAM, a 25 year old male of Terrace Bay, Ontario is currently in custody and has been charged with Mischief, Cause Disturbance, Intimidation, Breach of Probation, and three counts of Assault contrary to the Criminal Code.
The two males remain in custody at Thunder Bay until their next court date of April 12, 2011.
The investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.
