MANITOUWADGE, ON – Monday April 4th our Grade 7 and 8 students teamed up with students from Our Lady of Lourdes Seperate School and participated in a mini curling bonspiel at the Manitouwadge Recreation Centre.
The students from both schools were mixed together to form 11 teams and throughout the day they played 2 end games. In between games there was much socializing while watching the other teams from the viewing area. Everybody had a wonderful pizza lunch with juice and/or water. The games were scheduled only minutes apart and concluded at 3:00 pm with every student receiving a free movie certificate. Our staff was very proud to see all of the students showing such good sportsmanship and a positive attitude throughout the day.
Thank you to Mrs. Turnbull, Mr. Baker, Ms. Dzjacky, Ms Rathwell, Mr Passi and Mrs Schleier for not only providing us with a fun day of curling but there also wasn’t A MATH OR HISTORY BOOK IN SIGHT!!!!
