(Thunder Bay, On.) Hwy # 17 is OPEN to both directions of traffic.
The OPP would like to remind all motorists to drive to road and weather conditions.
The Ontario Provincial Police would like to remind Northwestern Ontario motorists of the MTO – Road Information Number as 1-800-268-4686.

Re: Hwy #17 – Nipigon – White River
Thunder Bay, ON – Hwy # 17 is closed to both directions of traffic due to several commercial vehicle collisions and poor visibility due to blowing snow. Large amounts of snow fall are anticipated in this area.
Highway 17 is closed at the Hwy #11/17 Junction at Nipigon through to White River.
