MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Township of Manitouwadge – Community Services Department began a photo contest April 1^st, 2011 and is open for submissions until April 29^th, 2011 at 4:00 pm. The contest contains five categories which are Scenic, Special Events, Winter Activities, Summer Activities and Wildlife. We are looking for members of the community to submit their photos which will be uploaded to the departments Facebook page. Once on the page, people can “like” the photos that they want to see win the category. The photo with the most “likes” in each category will receive $50 extreme dollars. We currently have 153 photos submitted throughout the five categories and are hoping for many more to come.

Once the photo contest is closed, we will be using some of the photos for our website and may even venture to use some of the photos for promotional advertising for our community. We will be contacting those whose photos we want to use for advertising purposes and obtain permission.

If you would like to submit any photos, please email them to shawna@manitouwadge.ca or if you do not have internet, please bring them into the township office and have them scanned. We look forward to seeing many more great photos up on our page for people around the world to see how incredible it is to live in a community like ours.
