Food for Thought At MHS
MANITOUWADGE, ON – The ‘Hungry Bake Sale’ at Manitouwadge High School ended yesterday with a successful 2nd day, as organizer Tessa Lanteigne announced total funds raised of more than $350!
Lanteigne organized the bake sale to kick off fundraising efforts for the 30-Hour Famine, April 29-30, she has spearheaded at MHS. She was inspired to challenge her peers to the famine while watching World Vision commercials of hungry children in third world countries, feeling she could no longer sit and watch but needed to take action and do what she could to help.
