The federal government’s proposed increase to the Guaranteed Income Supplement is modest, and does not address the current challenges faced by Canada’s retirement income system – Ontario continues to call for reforms, including an enhancement of the Canada Pension Plan.
Ontario will be tabling its Budget next week on March 29, where we will outline our plan to build a stronger Ontario in a stronger Canada
