MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
MARATHON, ON –On Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 03:12pm the Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 17, approximately 6km West of the Little Pic River bridge on a curve just before the Dead Horse Road.
A tractor trailer traveling West bound left the roadway rolling onto its side on the East bound shoulder. The driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured.
A local tow company attended the scene and removed the tractor but the removal of the trailer and clean up in the area will continue today. Due to the location of this clean up we are asking motorist to use extra caution and when travelling this area.
The OPP are continuing their investigation regarding this collision.
