SCHREIBER, ON – Holy Angels Catholic School’s Grade 5/6 class are participating in an exciting nine week program, D.A.R.E, to help them resist pressures which may influence them to experiment with drugs and alcohol. This program is given by the O.P.P. Constable Carol Michtics and her co-op placement student, Robert Brosseau.
The goal of the D.A.R.E. program is to significantly reduce/eliminate the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and the use of violent behaviour by young people. The 5/6 Grade D.A.R.E. curriculum is the first in a spiraling interrelated series of three components including curricula at the 7th and 9th grade levels.
Students and families will be invited to a graduation celebration of the program upon completion. We appreciate all the support that the O.P.P. provides for our students.
