MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, February 19th the Manitouwadge Curling Club(MCC) was overtaken by costumed characters during a 12hr (10am-10pm) fun ladies’ bonspeil organized by MCC member and volunteer Shawna Patterson. In addition to the curling teams enjoyed a buffet dinner, costume juding, ‘Minute to Win It” contests, traditional ‘Hog” money draw (won by Vivian Girard) and other fun contests.

BEST COSTUME
- Mr. Potato Head, Shirley Biggins Team
- Close second were The Sock Monkeys, Debbie Hardy’s Team.
Other costumes included, trolls, Characters from Clue, Crayons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mario Bro. Characters (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Yoshi).
Patterson wanted to thank all those who made the event so very special, mentioning special thanks to the bartenders and also the ‘Ice Man’ Gerry Boulanger.
Mario Bros & the Nintendo Crew took their costumes a step further with accents & personality adjustments!
