MARATHON, ON – Weather on the Northshore of Lake Superior has been quite varied this week, Thursday we were all under a fog, with snow melting faster than you can say ‘puddle jumping’, New Year’s Eve many communities were under severe weather warnings from Environment Canada due to expected ice. New Year’s Day, Comeau reported to OntarioNewsNorth.com that Marathon, ON was experiencing heavy snow squalls.
Thanks to OntarioNewsNorth.com’s favourite Weather Watcher, Laura Lea Comeau for these great photos of Marathon under a coat of ice.
