Students Get Online Help With Homework
Gravelle and Mauro Announce Free Online Math Tutoring

Local students in grades 7 to 10 will benefit this year from online tutoring to help them succeed in math. Almost 6,000 students in 55 Thunder Bay-area schools now have access to Ontario’s Homework Help program.
Homework Help is a free, confidential, real-time math tutoring service that connects certified Ontario teachers with students who are looking for extra support. The service also offers a number of resources that are available to students and parents at any time, including:
- Videos of best-practice tutorials
- Commonly asked questions
- Interactive math games
- A virtual locker, where students can save their work.
The Lakehead District School Board and the Thunder Bay District Catholic School Board are among the 31 school boards offering the program this year.
QUICK FACTS
- Homework Help is available online five days a week: Sunday to Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. EST.
- Students will receive a login through their school which can then be used to access Homework Help at www.Ontario.ca/HomeworkHelp.
- Homework Help expanded from 16 to 31 school boards this year. That means across Ontario, about 236,000 English-language students will have access to Homework Help this year.
