Longlac, ON – January 10, 2011, officers from the Greenstone OPP were conducting traffic enforcement in the Town of Longlac. At approximately 2:45pm, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle driving around the community. A short time later, officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
“Upon investigation officers determined that the licence plates being used were not attached to the vehicle and that the driver was wanted by several police agencies from western Canada,” Provincial Constable Brian Frost advised. “It was later determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen on December 30th, 2010, from Kelowna, British Columbia.”
The 21 year old driver, Nathaniel COPEMAN, of Regina, Saskatchewan was subsequently charged with possession of property obtained by crime. COPEMAN is scheduled to appear in Thunder Bay court on January 13, 2011.
