POLICE EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANT AND SEIZE FIREARMS

BEARDMORE, ON – On January 27, 2011 members of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment and the OPP’s Northwest Region Crime Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the community of Beardmore.
While executing the search warrant six firearms were seized along with a small amount of ammunition.
As a result of this investigation two males have been arrested and were held in custody.
27 year old Christopher THOMPSON of Beardmore will have his next court appearance in Thunder Bay on January 31, 2011. He is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner
- Careless use of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public
21 year old Vincent AMINI of Beardmore will have his next court appearance in Thunder Bay on January 28, 2011. He is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Obstructing a Peace Officer
- Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Breach of probation
- Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order
