NSFC Seeks New Team Member
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Forest Sector Project Specialist
CHAPLEAU, ON – The Northeast Superior Forest Community (NSFC) is looking for qualified applicants who will act as a liaison between the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, regional forest based industry and other government bodies. Some examples of tasks to be undertaken include implementation of several regional blueberry plantations through either FMP or LUP processes, forest related alternative energy project development, and management of a biomass sustainability research project.
The NSFC is a partnership between six municipalities; Manitouwadge, Hornepayne, White River, Dubreuilville, Wawa and Chapleau as well as the Northeast Superior Regional Chiefs’ Forum which represents Chapleau Cree, Brunswick House, Michipicoten, Missinabie Cree, Pic Mobert, and Hornepayne First Nations. The NSFC is also one of 11 Forest Community sites funded by Natural Resources Canada’s Forest Communities Program, and a part of a network of 15 sites across the country who combine to form the Canadian Model Forest Network (CMFN).
