Sioux Lookout Women Charged Following Search
*From the Editor: OntarioNewsNorth.com does not usually publish releases from Sioux Lookout, unfortunately drugs circulating in Northern Ontario affect us all, equally sad is that those charged in both releases below are young individuals just starting their lives, the choices they have made will most likely limit their options for many years to come.
The good news – drugs taken off ANY Northern Ontario streets also help all our communities. For this reason it seemed these two releases were worth sharing.
Search Warrant Locates Drugs
Sioux Lookout, ON – On December 05, 2010 Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information of a person trafficking in illegal prescription pills in the town of Sioux Lookout.
A search warrant was obtained and executed. As a result four adult females and one adult male are currently facing Controlled Drug and Substance Act Charges. Over $6000 in Canadian Currency, as well as Oxycontin and Ecstasy Pills were seized during the investigation.
Gloria BEAVER (28 yrs), Ina KEESIC (21 yrs) both of Sioux Lookout, and Jolene KEESIC (25 yrs) of Lac Seul were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Robert METHOT (29 yrs) of Sioux Lookout is charged with 2 counts of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, as well as Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
Rachell NINGEWANCE (28 yrs) of Sioux Lookout is charged with 2 counts of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking, Trafficking a Controlled Substance as well as Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Youth Charged with Trafficking
Sioux Lookout, ON – On December 01, 2010 Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a student possibly selling a controlled substance at Pelican Falls High School near Sioux Lookout.
An investigation was conducted after OPP were informed that counsellors had located a large amount of cash and Marijuana in a student’s room.
A female young person was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and released.
