NIPIGON, ON –Thursday the 23rd of December, 2010 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a GMC pickup truck pull to the right side of the road on Hwy 11 and 17, Town of Nipigon. Officers conducted a traffic stop and investigation revealed that the driver had consumed alcohol. The male driver, 53 year old Joseph LEVERT of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been charged with Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mg of Blood Alcohol Content contrary to the Criminal Code.
LEVERT is to appear in Nipigon Court on March 22, 2011 to answer to this charge.
