MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, December 25th, the patients’ common room at Manitouwadge General Hospital was filled with smiling faces, Christmas melodies and holiday spirit as members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish and the community gathered with patients from Long-Term and Accute Care. At 11:30am, led by Shirley Desjardins on the piano, residents and visitors sang their way through a collection of approximately 20 Christmas Carols.
Some of those who came have loved ones among the residents, others, like Mayor MacEachern and his wife Joan sang as members of OLOL parish, and of the community of Manitouwadge, wanting to ensure all residents of Manitouwadge had special moments to treasure from Christmas 2010.
