Shortly after 11:00 a.m. today the Wawa Volunteer Fire Department, Algoma EMS and Superior East OPP responded to a single vehicle collision 18 kilometers north of Wawa. A south-bound suburban lost control and crossing the opposing lane and struck a rock cut. The highway remained closed for approximately 45 minutes while the driver was extricated from the vehicle. The male patient was taken to the Lady Dunn Health Centre with unknown injuries. There were slight traffic delays following the incident while the vehicle was removed by Mission Motors of Wawa.
