Junior Wolverines win third consecutive title.MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Manitouadge Sr. Wolverines dug deep and pulled out a very exciting 15-8 third-set win over the Chevaliers from Ecole St. Joseph to win the 10-11 NSSSAA banner. Manitouwadge won the first set 25-21, then lost 20-25 in the second set before rallying in the third. The Wolverines return to the NWOSSAA Championship against the Voyageurs from Atikokan and the SSSAA representative DFC. It is the first time since 05-06 the Wolverines have advanced. Ironically in 05-06 MHS played the Voyageurs in Manitouwadge losing-3-1 and 3-2.
The Junior Wolverines won a third consecutive NSSSAA title in defeating the Geraldton Knights (25-6, 25-21) and the St. Joseph Chevaliers (25-17, 25-18) for the second straight year. Geraldton defeated St. Joseph in three sets to claim Silver. Congratulations to all teams on a fine season. Thanks to all coaches for their time and effort.
