OPP INVESTIGATE COLLISIONS 

NIPIGON, ON –During the weekend of November 19 to November 21, 2010 the Nipigon and Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 43 calls for service and issued numerous Provincial Offence Notices.  Officers conducted 5 R.I.D.E. checks and investigated several motor vehicle collisions.

The Nipigon and Schreiber OPP responded to several calls of motor vehicle collisions that resulted from poor weather and road conditions. 

SCHREIBER, ON – November 21 at 1:25 p.m. Schreiber OPP attended a single motor vehicle collision at Hwy 17, Town of Schreiber.  A west bound half tonne truck with one occupant slid off of the highway and into the guard posts.  The 33 year old male driver of Courtice, Ontario was transported to McCausland Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

RED ROCK, ON – November 21 at 2:20 p.m. while on patrol Nipigon OPP came upon a single motor vehicle collision at Hwy 11 and 17, Township of Red Rock.  An east bound small passenger van had left the roadway and struck the guard posts.  The 34 year old female driver of Red Rock, Ontario was transported by ambulance to Nipigon Hospital for non life threatening injuries.
