Terrace Bay and Schreiber Roll Out New Website Look

The Township of Schreiber and Township of Terrace Bay recently worked together to enhance their municipal websites.  The improvements were mainly cosmetic and did not adjust the overall structure of the website and were designed to incorporate the newer branding of both municipalities.

New features include: Township logos, incorporation of social media links and show the website in the best possible light with larger pictures, better video, a wider overall website format, in addition to larger text size.  The upgrades have been slowly installed over the past month while Municipal staff and the website developer, TBayIT were able to make adjustments and fix any errors that popped up.Terrace Bay CAO, Carmelo Notarbartolo said “We have received a great deal of compliments on our website over the years and we work hard to ensure it is regularly updated and shows the community in the best possible manner”.   Schreiber Clerk, Jon Hall, feels the improvements keep both communities in touch with modern trends “The website is one of the Township’s primary means of communication and the “digital face” of the corporation, so it is important that we keep up with changing trends.” said Hall.

People that utilize Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, are now able to link those accounts with the website or register to receive regular updates.  Schreiber and Terrace Bay are always looking for pictures, videos, and suggestions on ways to improve the websites.   If residents have any ideas they can email info@schreiber.ca or info@terracebay.ca.  The current setup of the Municipal websites was developed during the Community Adjustment Process and allows each township to maintain its own unique presence while sharing strengths where applicable in areas like a shared community calendar, shared job bank, and shared business directory.  The websites are also setup to utilize submissions from community groups and businesses for the events calendar and job bank to reduce staff time and better market events and jobs.
