Manitouwadge Town Council Nov.10.10
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 Manitouwadge Mayor and Council met for their regular bi-weekly meeting at the Township Council Chambers. A significant audience, in comparison to other council meetings, was in attendance many to hear what would come of a request to council to have rental fees lowered on trailer park lots not occupying trailers.
In the wake of this, residents residing in the trailer park who have become accustomed to using empty lots next to their own, for storage of firewood, campers, vehicles and more, have been ordered by the township to remove any/all property occupying lots not being rented with the exception of flowers or grass which of course add to the beautification of the properties and enhance the appearance of Manitouwadge for all those who live there. This is a great example of ‘leaving well enough alone’, it is a shame that one person having initiated this, not aware that they had a good thing going now leads to many people needing to rush, with snow already having lightly covered the ground, to find alternative storage for their property and move their things. We often take for granted the ‘little extras’ with which we become accustomed to living in small towns, perhaps this is a reminder to thouroughly explore all angles of a situation before stirring things up.
The first approximately 4.5 minutes of this council meeting were not captured due to technical difficulties, OntarioNewsNorth.com continues working to bring live stream of Manitouwadge town council meetings to viewers and is addressing the technical issues which prevented this on November 10th as correcting them will not cost the Township or tax payers ANYTHING.
