NIPIGON, ON –The Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a sudden death that occurred on October 31, 2010. At approximately 6:30 a.m. police attended Hwy 11 and 17, Nipigon Bridge just east of Nipigon, where it was reported that there was a person lying on the road. The 21 year old male, Miles FAWCETT, of Lake Helen, Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hwy 11 and 17 was closed for approximately nine hours while police investigated the incident. Nipigon OPP with the assistance of the North West Region Crime Unit, Identification Unit officers and the Technical Traffic Collision investigators, continue the investigation.
