Honouring Ontario’s Veterans

Everyone Welcome To Attend Remembrance Day Ceremony At Queen’s Park

The Ontario government is inviting people to pay tribute to the sacrifices of our veterans at the Queen’s Park Remembrance Day ceremony this week.

The Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial on the front lawn of the main legislative building at Queen’s Park. The Veterans’ Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who have served with courage to protect our freedom in times of war and in peace.

The ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 11. It will include two minutes of silence, a youth pledge and the laying of wreaths, including the People’s Wreath. The public is invited to acknowledge the sacrifices that have been made on their behalf by pinning a poppy on the flowerless People’s Wreath.
