NIPIGON, ON –November 30, 2010 at approximately 10:15 a.m. Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a vehicle fire on Hwy 11 east of Orient Bay. An axle on a trailer of a west bound tractor trailer unit caught on fire causing the trailer and the contents of the trailer to burn. The highway was closed due to the safety of motorists. The highway was reopened after the fire was extinguished. The driver of the tractor trailer unit was not injured and no charges were laid.
