Fort Frances, ON – Fort Frances OPP Detachment with the assistance of Northwest Regional Command and Northwest Region Emergency Response Unit are currently responding to an incident involving a barricaded male at a residence in the 800 block of Scott Street in Fort Frances.
Public safety is a priority for police as they proceed with their investigation. Officers have the area contained and will remain on the scene until the incident concludes. OPP officers and emergency personnel have closed a section of Scott Street and request that the public refrain from attending the area.
Those members of the public who have requested by the OPP to leave their residents as a precaution have been advised to attend the Fort Frances Memorial Sportsplex at 740 Scott Street for assistance.
