Hunters urged to comply with laws
During the last couple days OPP have received complaints of hunters shooting towards residence and hunting at night in the Essex Rd. In one instance last night a Kenora man was found to have shot and killed a deer. OPP located the man shortly after the report; this investigation has been turned over to the Ministry of Natural Recourses for follow-up.
Inspector Dave Lucas Kenora Detachment Commander states “We recognise the majority of hunters obey the laws. Unfortunately there are a few that risk the safety of themselves and others by acting in a careless manner. These few when identified will be dealt with in accordance with the law.”
