MANITOUWADGE, ON – Following Marathon Town Council’s regular meeting of October 12th and Manitouwadge Town Council’s regular meeting of October 13th when each, respectively, agreed to provide a letter of intent to X-Ec Air Inc. OntarioNewsNorth.com visited owners John and Paula Godfrey to discuss where they would go from there.
John, who is also a licenced commercial pilot, explained his plans once they have heard from the remaining communities initially approached for a collaboration to provide Northern Ontario air service; Wawa, Chapleau, and Hornepayne. Though it looks like Hornepayne may be left behind, having decided to delay a letter of intent until after the elections, Godfrey is confident that the Wawa and Chapleau see the value and opportunity which he feels this venture will offer the communities.
