White River Candidates Night
WHITE RIVER, ON – Voters were in small numbers last night, Wednesday, October 13th, at the Legion Hall, to hear Electoral Candidates vying for the 4 available positions for Councillors on the municipality’s town council. Candidates presented opening and closing remarks as well as answering to questions posed during the alloted Q&A period. The underlying theme seemed to be taxes, White River residents under financial stress during recent years following the closure of their mill, continue to share concerns that their tax base is shrinking. None of the potential councillors offered any promises of how they would be working, with acclaimed Mayor Angelo Bazzoni, to deal with this problem though each assured voters that they would be diligent and fully committed to the task at hand.
Certified Electoral Candidates in the 2010 White River municipal election race are:

- Kevin P. Morgan
- Margaret J. McMillan
- John D. Cottom
- Rodney M. Swarek
They are certainly hoping attendance numbers for voters, will increase on October 25th from the approximately 50 residents who attended last night’s event.
