New NOHFC Executive Director and Board Members Announced

McGuinty Government Continues To Invest In Northern Growth

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) will continue to support investments in private sector job creation, community and infrastructure development, emerging technology and northern energy under the leadership of a new executive director. 

The hiring of Bruce Strapp to the position of Executive Director was officially announced today at a regular meeting of the board taking place today and Friday in Thunder Bay. Mr. Strapp has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation since 1992. He has also lead economic development corporations in Timmins and Red Lake, spending more than 30 years in Northern Ontario’s public and private sectors.

The NOHFC also announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors: Robert Norris of New Liskeard, Marielle Brown of Elliot Lake, and Curtis Belcher of Sudbury.
