Though these are the same as the tips published from Kenora OPP earlier in the week, I felt it was a message worth repeating. Thank you to Superior East OPP for keeping our kids safe Haloween night.
HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS – PLAY SAFE
SUPERIOR EAST OPP – Members of Superior East OPP wish to remind motorists that Sunday October 31, 2010 is Halloween and the streets in our communities will be full of young ghosts and goblins. Drivers are asked to use extra caution during this time to help keep the streets safe for our kids.
A few safety tips for the kids and parents..
(1) WEAR BRIGHT OR REFLECTIVE CLOTHING
(2) CARRY A FLASHLIGHT
(3) WALK ON SIDEWALKS OR FACING TRAFFIC WHERE SIDEWALKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE
(4) BE AWARE OF TRAFFIC – BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING ROADWAYS
(5) HELP YOUR PARENTS GO THROUGH YOUR LOOT BEFORE EATING
(6) BE RESPECTFUL OF LAWNS AND OTHER PROPERTY WHILE VISITING NEIGHBOURS.
