Fatal ATV Collision

GREENSTONE, ON – On October 10, 2010, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Greenstone Detachment were called to a single All Terrain Vehicle collision on Highway 801 in the Municipality of Greenstone. The ATV had been travelling on Highway 801 when it left the road way and came into contact with a large rock. Bruce PANKHURST, 64 years of age, of Prescott, Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP Greenstone Detachment and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene along with the Superior North EMS and Beardmore Fire Department.
A Post Mortem Exam was completed at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center on October 11, 2010. The investigation is continuing.
