McGuinty Government Celebrates The Arts and Culture

Ontario is celebrating arts and culture by boosting its support to the Ontario Arts Council.

The new Arts Investment Fund will help the arts sector, through the Ontario Arts Council, continue to grow and become more competitive. It will also help arts organizations pursue programming and other activities to reach new audiences and boost revenues.

This year also marks the first Celebrate the Artist Weekend happening during Culture Days on September 25 and 26. This weekend recognizes artists for their creative and cultural contributions which help drive local economies in Ontario.

Supporting arts and culture is part of the province’s Open Ontario Plan to strengthen our economy and create new opportunities for jobs and growth.
