Terrace Bay Dragfest by Doug Gibbons
TERRACE BAY, ON – Saturday, July 31st, Day Two of the Annual Terrace Bay Dragfest, one of the most anticipated summer events on the Northshore of Lake Superior (in all of Northern Ontario in fact) continued, and, as engines roared, tires smoked and drivers sweat, the crowds cheered on!
Among the hundreds of fans in attendance to enjoy the drags, and the beautiful weather, was Thunder Bay – Superior North’s New Democratic MP Bruce Hyer.
Though originally created by, and still hosted courtesy of the Superior Classics Car Club, there were much more than your standard ‘race cars’ competing at this weekends Dragfest! Among those feeling the ‘need for speed’ during this 3-day event were drivers of cars, trucks, several styles of motorbikes and modified snowmobiles.
