From Kenora Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police
OPP are reminding drivers of the requirement to slow down and proceed with caution when passing an emergency vehicle parked on the side of the highway with its lights activated.
If the highway has more than one lane, the law requires you to move over at least one lane if it can be done safely. First offence is $400 – $2,000.00 fine and three demerit points.
Stay alert – stay safe – drive sober
