Research Funding for Lakehead University
Gravelle and Mauro announce funding for project to protect Ontario’s waterways

The Ontario government is investing $171,621 towards a new research project at Lakehead University. Drs. David Law, Peter Lee and Joseph Carney are developing new technologies to protect the quality of Ontario’s waterways.
The funding comes from the Ontario Research Fund–Research Infrastructure Program, which helps ensure that Ontario researchers have the tools they need to lead in their fields on the world stage.
Funding world-class research is part of Ontario’s Innovation Agenda to make innovation a driving force of Ontario’s economy, and supports the new Open Ontario Plan to build new opportunities for economic growth and jobs.
