New Terrace Bay Logo
The Township of Terrace Bay begins rebranding plan with unveiling of new Municipal logo
TERRACE BAY, ON – A new municipal logo has been presented for Terrace Bay. The logo was developed based on images and public feedback from the downtown revitalization project and will be the first step in tying together the marketing of the Township.
The logo features the new 50 foot lighthouse attraction that will be built in Terrace Bay,directly off the highway in Simcoe Plaza, to provide visitors with amazing views of Lake Superior and the municipality. The logo pays homage to the forestry past of the community showing the commitment of the Township to the future of forestry at the local pulp mill. The logo also emphasizes the importance of Lake Superior to residents and illustrates Terrace Bay’s view of the water with the Slate Islands in the background.
Chief Administrative Officer Carmelo Notarbartolo explains “We are very impressed with the artwork that has led to the development of the logo. It began with the initial design in signage for the downtown revitalization project by Kuch Stephenson Gibson Malo and then was enhanced for use as a logo with the finishing touches by the graphic design team at Shout Media.” The logo will slowly be phased into all new marketing materials over the next couple months and will lead to new initiatives like the updates of the Municipal website, highway banners, letterhead, business cards, etc. Over time, the entire marketing of the Township will be redone to present a fresh, connected image to visitors.
