Auction a Hit
TERRACE BAY, ON – Local and regional residents gathered at the Community Centre arena, Tuesday, August 24th hoping to score some great deals at a new furniture and electronics auction.
Tru Liquidators, a Southern Ontario business, travel North only once about every 5 yrs and have earned a reputation for offering quality products at a really great price-point; this coupled with a need for Terrace Bay residents to find budget-friendly shopping options during these difficult economic times, meant the arena floor filled quickly with would be bidders.
Among the great deals which residents walked away with were leather sofa sets which sold for as little as $300/peice, blue ray players at just $100 and huge 11×13 area rugs which went out the door for just $100! Local Daniel Lam, an IT Professional, found the experience entertaining “I was on my blackberry searching out pricing information as the auctioneer took bids, trying to keep up was crazy!” said Lam.
Though much of the stock was sold, the Tru Liquidators team still found themselves loading their trucks until nearly 4am, Wednesday they would do it al over again at the Moose Hall in Marathon.
