VICTORIA AVENUE, THUNDERBAY BECOMES MOVIE SET THIS WEEKEND

Feature Film 10-57 Started Filming in Thunder Bay; Victoria Ave East was closed on Sunday 27th June for Major Film Scene

Filmmakers and industry professionals have descended on Thunder Bay this summer for the shooting of feature film ‘10-57’.

Last Sunday, June 27th, Victoria Ave East witnessed a major scene from the movie. SWAT Teams and police cars filled the streets as armed officers storm the Farmers Market. A crowd of hundreds gathered, watching from various locations on the edges of the shoot.  Many commented on the excitement of their town transforming into a ‘Northern Hollywood’ or their hopes that this would not be the last film crew to shoot in Thunder Bay clearly understanding the economic benefits of the project.

The film is a riveting Police Action Drama, entirely shot in Thunder Bay, featuring local professional crew and actors as part of the extensive filmmaking team. 

SYNOPSIS: Missing Person Unit Detective Jane Scott is considered a hero, even though the humbled woman is simply doing her job when she investigates kidnapped cases and recovers hostages held for ransom. However the rules of the game change when she is tasked with a missing person’s case and the suspected abductor is her former partner and one time lover…… Ray Unic. This time, they are chasing one of their own.
