SCHREIBER, ON – Friday, July 9th the Schreiber Public Library unveiled the mural “Journey Into Our Past”.
The mural is a blend of old and new; depicting a scene of people returning to Rossport after an afternoon on the beach at Isbester’s Landing at the turn of the Century. The boaters would picnic with family and friends from Schreiber.
This project was made possible by a Superior North CFDC Local Initiatives Contribution program which is funded by FedNor, Schreiber Public Library and Municipality of Schreiber. The mural was painted by local Terrace Bay artist, J.M. Kenny with the assistance of Russell Andrews, his daughter Kristen and Leslie Josus.
