Pair charged after school vandalism
Charges Filed in $12,000.00 Mischief to School Windows
MARATHON, ON – On April 27th 2010 Marathon OPP attended the Marathon High School to investigate a mischief. A significant amount of damage occurred to the skylight windows in the common area of the building. Estimates are over $12 000.00 to repair the damage to the windows.
The investigation into the mischief has resulted in criminal charges being filed.
Two males, one aged 20 of Alberta and the other aged 19 of Marathon are both charged with Mischief over $5000.00 contrary to Section 430 of the Criminal Code. Both have a first appearance court date of 22Jul2010 in Marathon to speak to the charges.
Two other males one age 19 the other age 20 both of Marathon are charged under the Trespass to Property Act Section 2 for engaging in a prohibited activity on premises.
