West Fire Region

No new fires were reported by the end of the day on June 05.
Red Lake Fire 32 is Being Held at 4417ha. Crews continue to extinguish hot spots. No probelms are anticipated. Personnel and equipment are being released back to their home bases.
The eight monitored fires caused by lightening, continue to burn with no problems anticipated.
The Restricted Fire Zone in the East Fire Region remains in effect for the Sault St. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay areas due to lack of rain. For more information about the East Fire Region, Restricted Fire Zone call the Information Hotline 1-866-357-8422.
