Composting 101
Serg Co-op Inc. is at it again, this time offering a workshop entitled Composting 101 to give the basics to residents on building your backyard compost pile. Serg was instrumental in the delivery of the 2010 Green Tradeshow and is now furthering its education aspect to help people add tools to their green toolbox. The workshop will be held on Wednesday June 23 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Terrace Bay Rec Centre. Admission is $10 which will go towards workshop materials as well as future green initiatives for the organization. A great deal of research has gone into the workshop and it will be a shared discussion style bringing forth stories from participants about their efforts composting. It will mostly involve backyard composters with ways to keep the bears away as well as touch on other issues like composting in the Winter and vermicomposting.
