Cast of more than 100 ready to take the stage

Two years ago, Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School in Manitouwadge performed a live musical version of Disney’s The Jungle Book™ to much critical acclaim.  The only negative critique they received actually is that there had been only 2 shows though even this was understandable when you take into account the ages, between 4 and 14 yrs, of their 100+ cast.  They have heard their audiences requests how ever and this weekend, ready to take the stage again they are performing Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for an incredible 4 shows!

Yesterday, at their final dress rehearsal, Director Betty Gillman seemed to be taking it all in stride as she helped the cast and crew smooth out a few last issues to ensure that the students would be offering their audience a first class musical. 

There are some incredibly gifted vocalists starring in this year’s show their clear crisp young voices offer up a fun, fantastical performance which could be straight out of a Hollywood movie and will certainly have crowds lining up at the Manitouwadge High School Theatre.
