Unexpected flashback
Unplanned renovations uncover a gift from the past at St. Basil’s
WHIE RIVER, ON – Recently, when a leak prompted the opening of a wall at St. Basil’s Elementary School in White River a very special discovery was made; a TIME CAPSULE which had been sealed in the wall in 1988 was found. Finding the capsule seemed quite fitting with White River celebrating it’s 125th anniversary this year, among the items in the capsule, a VHS tape of a recording made by the makers of the time capsule.
This being education week, an evening were parents would visit the school with their children was already scheduleded and so a viewing of the tape was added into the visit’s agenda. The report, regarding content of the movie, is still out – watch headlines on OntarioNewsNorth.com in the week ahead for a complete update.
Another viewing opportunity of the VHS is being scheduled for official 125th celebrations on July 10th after which time plans are being made to seal the contents of the capsule anew, as a gift for future residents.
