MANITOUWADGE, ON – 05.11.10 – Yesterday evening, at Manitouwadge’s Golden Age Club, Superior District 3B Senior Summer Games Organizer for games in Manitouwadge, Ron Sheppard, met with volunteers who will be responsible for organizing the many events being held in Manitouwadge.  Originally Sheppard was working with Lou Budgell to coordinate the event, unforatunately, Lou has fallen ill and will not be available to assist with the games.    

Those in attendance were provided with official rules for each of the events/competitions which they will manage. Among the competitions being held in Manitouwadge are darts, cribbage, euchre, bid euchre, horseshoes, carpet bowling, shuffle board, 9-ball pool, bocce, walking and golf.

Responsibilities were explained and documentation of official rules were distributed to the volunteers that they might prepare for the games that are less than a month away.  

If you would like to volunteer with any of the events or at the wrap-up banquet scheduled for June 3^rd at the Golden Age Club, in Manitouwadge, please contact Ron Sheppard, as there will be much to do at each.  Come cheer out the competitors of the Superior District 3B Senior Summer Games, from Marathon, Manitouwadge, Schreiber and White River as the face off in Manitouwadge and Marthon from May 20^th through June 4^th. 

Athletes participating in the Superior District 3B Senior Summer Games will be competing to earn a position in the provincial senior summer games, Actifest 2010, to be held in Oshawa, Ontario August 10^th-12^th.
