Soccer kicks off

Soccer kicked off accross the Northshore in the past 2 weeks, among those communities with Youth Soccer Programs, Marathon, Manitouwadge, and Scheiber. The programs vary from town to town as does the level of competitiveness involved but there are a few constants, organized sports have been shown to help kids self esteem, improve self confidence, teach leadership skills and team work and children who are busy playing on the field, aren’t elsewhere looking for entertainment!
If you have not already done so, call your township to register your child for soccer, most communities will take registrants past the cut off date (though they may not have a team t-shirt or other equipment that came with the registration after start-up). And don’t forget, kids love to have a cheering squad, even if the older ones won’t always admit it!
