Pavement recycling begins – Hwy 17
Next stage of Hwy 17 improvements at corner
MANITOUWADGE, ON – May 27th, 2010 – Construction continues on Hwy 17 where it intersects Hwy 614, known to locals in Manitouwadge as ‘The Corner’.
Pavement on Hwy 17 has been removed on both the East and West sides of The Corner, a stretch of 22km in all, and is scheduled to be recycled, starting today, by equipment on site.
There are approximately 40 employees, mostly from outside the area, who are being accommodated in White River while working at the site which has an estimated 2 weeks left until completion.
Remember to follow posted speed limits when driving through construction.
