MANITOUWADGE
, ON – Saturday, May 15th, the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group (MCAG) held their annual Share the Care fundraising Walk. Participants had pledge sheets which stated their intent to participate in the 5km walk, run, or bike, which they used to garner sponsorship from friends, family or local businesses. Ideal weather contributed to a great turn-out at the event which also included a barbecue in the community’s recreation centre parking lot.
The Fundraiser collected over $5 000 for the MCAG which offers financial support to Manitouwadge residents battling cancer. Ethel Noftal and Lauchie Meagher (B&M Hauling) were each recognized as they respectively raised in excess of $2 000 in pledges. There were also participation prizes drawn as well as prizes for the oldest and youngest participants. Congratulations to all who participated in this very worthwhile event!
